Novelist Daniel Oliver has worked in a psychiatry ward and holds two college degrees. However, his intimate familiarity with mental illness mostly derives from his own struggles. Daniel spent time as a patient in four different psychiatric hospitals, and was arrested twice during his battles with his disorder. Daniel lives in Baltimore, where he loves eating oysters.
